I'm on state sponsored low-income health insurance. I used to pay for my overacrtive bladder medication out of pocket when I didn't have insurance, but it's about $200 a month, and I can't afford it. My doctor said they filed an appeal with my insurance company and it is going through an appeals board. Insurance company say they have no record of any appeal. I've only tried one medicine that works for me. I am tired of having to go 10-25 times a day. It is severely debilitating, yet no one considers me disabled. What should I do?

Tired Of Being Like This Too Paranoid To Concentrate?

I am so tired of being like this. I cannot think, and cannot keep a job because my anxiety is too great and I cannot focus my mind. It is like I am constantly spaced out or in another dimension or something and somehow I feel I need to be able to think on the spot instead of constantly in fear of the worst which only seems to make the worst come true. I have been battling depression for several years however despite going to therapy and being on Wellbutrin I just don't feel right. It is as though my brain is in constant overload and off in some wild tangent. I have often thought that maybe perhaps I am bipolar or something since I am in constant overload. I am also very creative, which I like. However at the same time it isolates me since I am often lost in my mind and at the same time it is as though I have too many things running through my mind to actually create good art. I have all these thoughts about wanting to die, and couruption of society etc and how from the very beginning I was bound to fail in the real world once I graduated. I know that I am setting up a lot of my failure because when I think the worst about my job etc I am bound to make even more mistakes and my concentration becomes like a train wreck. I want to be able to feel normal and stop over analyzing everything. I want to be able to have fun and live in the moment without 1 trillion things running through my head. I also have a habit to self harm and have punched myself in the face before really hard resulting in black eyes. Besides Wellbutrin I also take 50mg of serroquel at night time to help me sleep. Would this medication at a higher dose get rid of my obsessive/ paranoid behavior? I know for bipolar a much higher dose of serroquel is used usually in the 200 to 400mg a day range. Will this, or anything else quiet off my overactive mind? I really really want to relax and stop taking things so seriously and be able to be social/ go with the flow. I want to be able to watch a movie without being overloaded with thoughts and opinions and perhaps even become a bit complacent so that I actually hang onto a job when I have the opportunity. I just want to feel normal, whatever that is and enjoy life. I recently started working at a print shop as a graphic designer and they let me go after my 5th day because I couldn't concentrate and measure accurately. Although this is a very very hard set back I have always had trouble with extremely precise measurements especially with things that are like a 32nd or 64th of an inch. I'm hoping to find something perhaps working for a magazine or doing posters/ brocures etc but not technical drafting. Or perhaps I will go more into web design since I am aware of coding/ web standards etc. But I need help. Something is definitely wrong. I know it is not healthy to be overwhelmed and paranoid 24/7. **** I'm only 23 and feel like I have not even lived whatsoever. I did go to college etc but I never really "lived" and had fun. I can not spend another 60 years in this paranoid state. Can anyone suggest any medication that will help me to relax and not over think everything? anxiety and depression is no fun and it seems the only thing any of the ssri's have done was to give me more energy which only seems to make me more paranoid. 7 year old who is scared of everything?

I have a 7 year old daughter who is scared of pretty much everything. She is scared of the dark, animals in general, germs, noises in the night, monsters, being alone, the car crashing, being without her doll and going to school just to name a few. I have talked to her to try and work out why she is afraid and mostly it seems to be that she believes something very bad is going to happen to her or the rest of the family. I have a tank of sea monkeys that are about 4 months old. They are really thriving and doing good. Problem is, every time my pregnant moms give birth the babies will be there for about 3-4 days and they will all disappear at the same time. Should i lease a convenience store?

I have had a floral and gift shop in a small town for 3 months. It has not done that well and i will be closing it at the end of the month. It is not just me but all the merchants in the town are getting worried because they say they have never seen it this way at this time of yr. My husband wanted to lease a cigarette and convenience type store before i opened this one but at the time it was too much money. Now the lease has come down considerably and it was a thriving store when the owners had it open. They are old and decided to retire.They had it leased to some other couple and they in turn leased it to someone else who they say was on drugs and ruined a lot of things in the store and then stole equipment and left. It has been closed again since about 3 months ago. What equipment that was not stolen is still there. It has a deli which is fully equipped with seating. It has gas pumps and it's main seller was cigarettes. My husband wants me to open it and do the deli and cigarettes and stock the store as a convenience store is. It would take about $25,000 to do this and we would have to get a loan for part of this. I have always worked in these type of businesses and don't mind the work but making flowers is my passion. There are 2 extra rooms that were used as a small apt. that i could run a flower shop from also. I just don't know what to do. The store is on the main interstate with a lot of tourist traffic. It has been open and operating since 1979 until these last people had it. The owners made a good living from it. I just worry about the economy because gas is so expensive and so are cigaretes which will be the mainstay. Although i know people have to have gas and lots of people smoke and are not going to quit. I just can't stand to think i mightt fail again in another store. The lease on this place is only $500 which is cheap for a store like this but then we would have a payment for the loan we would get to help stock the store and i will have to put my rental home up for collateral but the rent i receive from it should pay the payment. My banker says he thinks it will do good because there is no other place from about 5 miles from nearest town with convenince store til the next down which is about 18 miles form this store. Really puzzled on this one.

I personally wouldn't ask her for help/advice. I can't cater to everyone else, I have kids and am busy. I personally was kinda in the same boat. EVERYONE wanted to give me advice. I just wanted to be left alone and do it all myself. If I needed help I asked for it. I just told them how it was from the start so there's no confusion. Of coarse I didn't say it all like that. lol If she asks just nicely say you want to figure it out yourself and develop your own parenting techniques, but if you do need help it's nice to know she's there for you.

Is it okay to feed a rabbit just hay and vegetables/fruits?

I have a 4 month old rabbit and he eats just fine, but on the 22nd I adopted a 2 year old rabbit from my local animal shelter. There's nothing wrong with her, she just won't eat pellets. I've been feeding her celery and baby carrots (mostly celery and about two baby carrots a day) because that's the only veggies we have at the moment and we have no fruit right now. I've also been giving her grass from my yard (no pesticides!) and she likes that. She'll eat pretty much anything I give her besides pellets. I've tried hand feeding her, I've tried to force a pellet into her mouth, I've showed her the food bowl multiple times, but she won't eat them no matter what I do. She eats the hay as well. I know quite a lot about rabbits, but I've never heard of a rabbit that won't eat pellets therefore I have no information as to whether or not they can thrive on just hay, veggies and fruits.

My dog is breaking out in pimples i think?

Okay well one of my sisters gave my yorkie chiwawas a bath with suave shampoo... i have 2 that are brothers and the other is a poodle. I know it was stupid of her to give him a bath with that but They were all washed with suave shampoo and one of them the next day broke out in pimples and the other 2 were fine. Why is my cat so hungry?

He is regularly wormed - I have had him for 3 months and he is 11 months old and he has always wanted to eat soo much. I used to think it was psychological because he was homeless and underweight when the rehoming centre found him and I only fed him a little more than was recommended for his age and weight. Then he started getting into the bins and bread bin and tearing open loaves of bread and eating them so I have increased his food. He is meant to have three pouches of food but eats 4 and two bowls of biscuits - he is still a healthy weight after a couple of months of this (I can just see his ribs) so do not think he can be overeating? It all depends on your own hair, but typically you should wash your hair every other day. It's healthy to let natural oils be in your hair, and if you wash them out everyday your hair can become dry and gross. The solution that lasted the longer for me was to use the flea bombs first then I used a carpet treatment that is a powder you sprinkle on the carpet. Also important to use flea treatment for your Cats just before you do this or the fleas just jump off the cats and hide in your carpets until the flea shampoo wears off. Advantage or Frontline seems to work the best. It is a small tube of liquid that you apply between their shoulder blades and works at least 3 month. If your husband did bring them home you could be lucky and doing all these might cure the problem permanently. Especially if your cats are inside only cats.

Hi fellow seniors, do you have any indoor houseplants?

Poinsettias are hard to maintain, so I usually do not keep them. Someone told me to plant it outside while it is warm and bring it back inside during the winter. I have also been told to put one in a basement and just keep it wet and that the leaves will come back out on it. I have never tried it, though. I have had inside plants over the years, gave up on them, and planted them all outside. I pick them and bring them inside for my flowers. In California, they grow year-round. We had some beside our house there. I am not particularly fond of them, though. I prefer natural wild flowers, azaleas, small flowering trees, and bushes.

This is not ocd, but it's disturbing thoughts, should I do a brain scan?

Do you think a brain scan can be a way to understand psychological behaviors? I feel like there's something in my brain that disturbs me all the time. My thoughts are going around and around. Especially there's this disturbing field around me, which is there 24/7. At first I thought it was ocd, but after talking to a psycologist we came to the conclution that it wasn't ocd. I've tried to avoid these thoughts, but this disturbing feeling around me just doesn't go away. I start to suspect there must be something with my brain. Some questions about a trip to Disney and my (privately) overactive Imagination?

Well, first of all, my family has been saving up for a week-long trip to Disney (In florida) and my brother is kinda mad at me. I've been using Disney footage I have to make character commentaries of the characters from Jonny Quest (The original show) and Disney's Recess riding Walt Disney World rides. My imagination is very overactive, and since I love the characters and their shows, I seem to start imagining they are going to come with us on the trip. My brother claims it's weird, but since I've been making commentaries of the them on rides and such, it'd be very easy to imagine them on rides with me. My brother says I should quit imagining that their coming with us, and that I should just focus on other stuff but his imagination's no better than mine. He's 11 and believes his Teddy Bear can talk, and he makes funny videos all the time. First of all i have irregular periods! my last period was april 18th. sometimes i don't have periods for 2-3 months. You are correct saying you do not eat enough. Not only don't you eat enough you do not eat a balanced diet. You should make a point of eating breakfast as that is actually the most important meal of the day. If my calculations serve me right you are 93 pounds. You surely need to take in more protein to balance out your diet. I am not sure what types of meats you eat but eggs, fish and lean meats are necessary as part of your diet to gain weight. If you begin a workout routine and eat small meals every several hours with a little protein in each meal you will notice a marked difference in six weeks.

My Dad Has a Really Bad Temper?

Well, my hair frizzes ALOT. I have a straightner (CHI) and i also have natural curly hair. And on rainy, humid or hot days, my hair tends to frizz and curl. How high should ammonia levels get during a tank cycle?

I have a 10 gal tank that initially had 3 fish in it for about a week and 5 days. 2 died after 4 days and i only had 1 fish for about another 4 days during these 4 days i made 15% water changes because i felt ammonia poisoning was the issue. i then bought 2 more fish and finally found a decent in-tank ammonia indicator to at least see if ammonia was increasing, which at the time before placing the 2 fish in read around 0 (the indicator i think may be slightly inaccurate at very low levels, it may show some even if its not there) and stopped doing daily water changes, seeing as it was low/ not present. it has been going up since i added the new 2 fish, which i suppose makes sense. however this is where it gets a little iffy- about 3 days after getting the tank i used some tetra safestart after hearing many good reviews, i gave it a shot. it actually did seem to help. at this point its a little odd- after testing the water earlier today, my ammonia levels are continuing to rise slowly but steadily, right now at .05ppm over the 4 days, but i am also seeing nitrate for the last couple of days at <,= 20 ppm, which would suggest the cycle has been completed. so my question is how high should ammonia levels get with 2 new fish before going down, how long should it increase for, and just for general knowledge at what concentration of ammonia would nitrifying bacteria require to begin to thrive? ps all the fish have been guppies, since the first 2 died all of the others have been very healthy, constantly swimming and schooling and voraciously eating

Planting summer flowers for the first time. Please Help!!?

My husband and I are in the process of redoing our lawn (new grass). We decided we wanted to do a small garden and plant some flowers. The flowers we want planted in the front of the porch to bring some color to the house. The problem I have is our porch is long and it would take lots of flowers to cover. I picked up some assylum but when I got home and read up on them they need sun. We don't get a lot of sun in that area where I want the flowers. Are there any bright flowers (preferably yellows pinks and purples) that can thrive without a lot of sunshine?

Is there a way to cure hyperthyroidism without medication?

I'm 17 and just found out I have hyperthyroidism. I have an overactive thyroid. Anyway, at this point the military is my only option, specifically the Navy. The doctor's say I'll probably have to have surgery, removing the thyroid, and will have to take medication for the rest of my life. Which means I won't be able to join the military. I'm coming here as my last option, can anybody tell me a way to cure/take care of this without me being dependent on medication. PLEASE and thank you.

Just fyi, i do this to my hair, too. Been doing it for years now, so yes it works. First, go in your medicine cabinet and look for hydrogen peroxide. If not, go to your local CVS / Rite Aid / Walgreens / whatever and buy it from there. If you don't have a spray bottle at home that you can use to fill this, get one while you're there. Fill the bottle (but please, don't mix up any chemicals) and spray it onto your hair liberally AND evenly. Don't forget the back of your head, just because you can't see it.. It should be very wet, but not like it's dripping wet. Use a comb during this process, as it will be easier and spread more evenly. Don't put your head on anything that will get bleached. Takes a few hours, you'll see the results as it progresses. Wash and rinse your hair like you normally do, and repeat the process during the following weeks till you get your desired color. Once you do, you only have to retouch every 2 weeks/ 1month when it grows out a bit. Don't hesitate to e-mail me if you have any other questions. Hope I helped =]

What does this treatment for cat hyperthyroidism cost?

I'm not sure, because I always just gave my cat with hyperthyroidism the pills with her food for treatment. However, some things stick out at me with this treatment option- the first one is radiation. If your cat developed hyperthyroidism with old age (as many cats do) then the radiation could do more harm than good. I imagine this treatment is only meant for young, otherwise healthy cats that happened to have a diseased thyroid.

Does swallowing a pill while ingesting applesauce (as opposed to water) reduce the potency?

I'm a 25 yr old female. I've been having problems with frequent urination and urgency. My urologist thought it was overactive bladder. I was put on medication and that problem seemed to slow down. Then I started having other problems. I would get these weird muscle spasms in my vagina and urethra. And now I experience pain in my back and side. I went back to the dr and they found a trace of blood in my urine. So now she thinks it's kidney stones and I'm scared to death. I've never been too bad with pain until just recently, i've had tattoo's and piercings and they haven't bothered me, but just now the slightest pain sends my head spinning my hearing goes fuzzy and I pass out, it's not even severe pain, from stubbing my toe to stomach ache. Okay, My last period was March 17th, So I am a month late. I took 2 pee tests and both where negative but I took them at night... What is the cause of my bladder pain and urgency?

Ok I know everyone is thinking, UTI or Infection. It's not that. For my entire life I've had problems with not being able to make it to the bathroom sometimes, Dr's say it's not overactive bladder though. I will get cramping and spasms around my bladder then just have to run! If I'm asleep, sometimes I will wake up already going or wake up with a terrible stabbing sharp pain and run, once I go I'm fine but then I get this really bad cramping aching dull pain in my bladder and lower abdomen for like an hour. I cut down on caffeine products and my tea since I've read those make urgency worse, but I still have an issue. Sometimes when I'm asleep if I don't make it to the bathroom on time I'll remember that I was dreaming of going to the bathroom, while I"m asleep. ????????

I have overactive bladder syndrome and I have previously been on vesicare medication which didn't seem to work so my dose was doubled and that didn't seem to work either. How bad is my bed bug infestation?

4 days ago i woke up with a horrible itch on my thighs, and found blood smears over my sheet and when i looked closely i found a little dead squished bed bug. My hair is extremely damaged at the ends and I need like an inch cut off which i will get done soon. The ends have an offshoot and right angle split ends. I have only found one actual split. I never get split ends that actually split. But I hate the offshoots and right angles because they look like i have a permanent crinkle in it. It looks terrible.
