Over active thyroid question to do with effects on pregnancy and fertility?

I have an overactive thyroid but its only borderline. I dont have any meds for it yet either. I read that i could be infertile. Could i be? And can you take a contraception pill when you have uncontrolled thyroid problems? I don't want to get pregnant by the way and im not planning on sex. I was just wondering for the future. Please answer!
