What does this treatment for cat hyperthyroidism cost?

I'm not sure, because I always just gave my cat with hyperthyroidism the pills with her food for treatment. However, some things stick out at me with this treatment option- the first one is radiation. If your cat developed hyperthyroidism with old age (as many cats do) then the radiation could do more harm than good. I imagine this treatment is only meant for young, otherwise healthy cats that happened to have a diseased thyroid.
