My brother is having dandruff problems?

A few months ago, I took my brother to a salon(don't ask) to cut his hair. The lady said it would be a few minutes so I walked out and came back later. She whispered in my ear that he had dandruff and to use a special teatree shampoo. He's been using it since and it still isn't working. Someone help?
