Bladder problems...ruining my life please help.?

I was just diagnosed with overactive bladder syndrome...I have had two kids and felt like I was having retention...I was taken to the hospital 4 times in one week, 3 times in which I was catheterized.....Turns out I wasn't having retention..but ever since I was catheterized I have had to strain to get my urine stream to start and to finish...If i try to relax to get it to come out it just dribbles....is it due to the swelling of my urethra due to all the caths in one week...or should I see my urologist again....This has happened all in the past week.
